The economic crisis has turned into the biggest problem of the Albanian
families. A study made by the Albanian Institution for International
Studies, held in 12 main cities, found that 33% of the Albanians think
that the biggest current problem of Albania is the economic crisis.
Second on the list is the lack of law implementation with 15%, corruption with 11% and the political conflict with 11%. The trend becomes stronger when the citizens are directly asked about the problem that concerns them mostly.
28% of the individuals say that the main problem is the low economic income, 25% are about unemployment, and 13% think that poverty is the biggest current problem.
The poll titled “Albania on the verge of Elections 2013” focused on the public opinion about some issues, but the answers also show that the biggest concerns for them are the economic issues.
According to the poll, 42% of the individuals think that the economic situation is bad, 24% think that it is very bad, and 29% think that it is average or good.
The solution of the economic problems is what the citizens mostly want from the new government. When asked about what should the new government have as a priority, 28.8% were for the economic development and creation of new jobs, 16.5% about the employment of youth, and 16.4% are for fight against poverty.
According to the poll, 71% of the individuals say that they will vote in the next elections; 18% will not vote while the rest is uncertain.
