275 families in Tepelena are under the Social Assistance program, a
payment received by the Municipality due to the lack of revenues,
employment or other social disadvantages.
These families have received only 85% of the fund in these recent months.
Only the invalids and the blind people have received a full fund. More than 30% of the Tepelena families fulfill the criteria for the economic assistance, but the Ministry was unable to support it.
Besides the always increasing poverty, the Municipality was obliged to remove 25 families from the list, while similar cuts are expected in the next planning.
