EC-Kosovo, dialogue for visa within this year

The dialogue between Kosovo and the European Commission for the visa liberalization will start by the end of the year.

The news came from the chief of the liaison office of the European Council in Prishtina, Kaldun Sino, while presenting the progress-report for Kosovo.

According to the progress-report, the European Council is committed for the trade agreements between Kosovo and the EU member countries.

The European Council also proposes to start a structured dialogue for the establishment of law and order in Kosovo, which, on its behalf, must plan an all-inclusive agenda for the north.

The north is a challenge not only fort he Kosovo institutions, but also for the EULEX mission.

The Kosovo Government welcomes EC report

The Kosovo Minister of Integration, Vlora Citaku, greeted the EC progress-report that suggests the start of the dialogue for the visa liberalization within this year.

On behalf of the Kosovo government, Citaku declared that the dialogue for the visa regime is the biggest achievement for Kosovo, after the independence.

Citaku also declared that the progress report shows the real situation of Kosovo.


LDK: Progress-report, too many negative remarks

The Kosovo opposition party, LDK, underlined the critics of the progress-report, considering them as very concerning.
