Representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development are attending a visit in Tirana, where they also met with
the Bank of Albania Governor, Gent Sejko.
In this meeting they underlined that the main challenges facing the Albanian economy, such as preserving political stability and implementing structural reforms, remain essential for improving the business climate and for attracting more foreign investments.
Governor Sejko updated the EBRD officials with the recent political and financial developments in Albania, and underlined that the economic growth is on a positive trend.
Some of the main topics discussed in this meeting were about encouragement of crediting, reduction of problematic loans and having more initiatives to reduce Albania’s dependency from Euro.
The EBRD representatives expressed their commitment to keep contributing on significant projects, such as financial stability, agrobusiness, energy, etc.
