EBRD: 55,000 ALL a month is what Albanians should earn to not emigrate

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has calculated that an Albanian citizen needs 55,000 ALL a month of salary in order to not emigrate.

But what do people say about this?

“It’s not enough to fulfil basic needs, such as paying water, electricity, taxes, food, and school, rent… It’s too good to be true. People will keep leaving even if salaries get higher”, citizens say.

Albania’s minimal wage is 24,000 ALL, one of the lowest in the region.
