The Archbishop of the Diocese of Tirana and Durrës, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj conveyed today the message of the Easter holiday for the Catholic faithful of Albania and the regions abroad.
“The ruins, sadness and death that in these years of pandemics and even more now in times of war, have marked the lives of many people and should encourage us to love life even more,” said Arjan Dodaj.
A space in Dodaj’s speech also had a message against corruption and abuse of power.
“I also want my brothers, to overcome the darkness that engulfs society, in the dead end where it has entered, which is corruption. Get rid of the debt we feel to bribe when looking for a job. Let’s get rid of the debt to give a tip, compared to the right of every person to have a medical care,” said Dodaj, among other things.
“Peace be with you, Christ tells us, ‘as I have conquered death!’ Happy Easter for a long time! ”, added the archbishop.
On Holy Saturday, the faithful addressed the Church of St. Paul in Tirana, to bless their foods as one of the celebrations of Easter.
