Easier options for businesses that owe to Energy Distribution Operator

Official data show that businesses have a total of 14.5 billion ALL of
unpaid obligations for the energy. The Energy Distribution Operator
wants to take this sum through schemes that make it easier for
businesses, starting with industry.

“For the 35 KW category we have thought a payment scheme up to six months with unchanged installments. The deadline is December 31st 2015”, declared Albana Ferraj, Sale and Collection Director at the Energy Distribution Operator.

Small businesses will have more time to pay their debt. This category includes even cult objects, which also have not paid the energy correctly.

“Service and supply businesses will be able to pay in 12 months, with unchanged installments. We have thought the same scheme for cult objects. For farmers we thought to leave a 24 months period”, Ferraj declared.

The Energy Distribution has identified 90.000 businesses with debts, but since they were required to pay 40% of the total before signing the agreement. Many of them, especially the smaller ones, had difficulties to pay that.
