Easier border crossing procedures, “One stop, one verification”

27/10/2016 00:00

The government approved easier measures for border crossing procedures, based on the principle “one stop, one verification”.

Every citizen who will be stopped for verification will be given a document for the reason of the visit, the language and nationality.

“If needed to continue verifications, citizens will receive a document explaining why they are being stopped, which has not been done so far”, said Genc Merepeza, General Director of Border and Migration.

The new law for border inspection aims to avoid bureaucracies between authorities in border checkpoints and avoid long queues.
