After the Arber Road and the Thumana Kashar roads, the Albanian government has declared the winner for the third biggest concession in the road infrastructure, the Milot-Balldren road.
The Ministry of Energy has chosen the ANK company, owned by Agim Kola, as winner of the 161.5 million EUR concession for building and maintaining the Milot-Balldren road.
The ANK will build the road with its own money and it will be paid to them by the government for the next 13 years.
The initial evaluation report was 50% lower, but the total fund was set to 161.5 million EUR, including secondary roads.
The Milot-Balldren is the third biggest construction of the 1 billion EUR package. It wasn’t planned y the government, but it was proposed by the ANK Company.
The US State Department had declared that such concerns limit the competition by having the winners pre-determined.
