The performance of budget indicators, especially in terms of revenues shows that the economy is recovering at a slow pace but is still far from the normal situation before the pandemic.
During the 9-month period, the budget accumulated ALL 307.8 billion, in a decrease of ALL 35.7 billion or about EUR 290 million compared to the same period of the previous year.
The postponement of profit tax payments in aid of businesses affected by the pandemic has caused the revenues collected from this tax to shrink by about 26.6%.
But, while revenues in the state treasury have decreased significantly, expenditures have increased as Finance data show that for January-September expenditures reached ALL 366.2 billion, about ALL 20.4 billion more than the same period last year.
