Several media have reported that several paramilitary structures are
being created in Macedonia, which claim to defend the country with all
means, called “Macedonian Patriotic Front”.

Deutsche Welle reports that the Interior Minister has only said that the organization is official, but others give no explanation.

Government media outlets in Macedonia have announced that citizens are doing voluntary gatherings and are organizing popular brigades to defend institutions in case, as they call it, they are usurped by social-democrats.

Besides the popular brigades, which are being established, there are at least 20 so-called patriotic organizations in Macedonia, which also insist that their purpose is to defend the country.

The “Pere Toshev” group from Prilep, composed of 10 members, has attacked a local journalist, Bozhidar Barlakoski, who reported the violence at the police.

According to “DW”, “Pere Toshev” and 23 other paramilitary organizations have met to organize their forces and “defend the national interests of Macedonia”.

“The people can get organized all by itself, as it happened in 1903. All Macedonian citizens should commit against structures that act against our nation”, said Jane Cento, one of the initiators of the Macedonian National Front.

Signs that these activities are being coordinated by a specific center were persented in a declaration of the initiative “For a Unique Macedonia”, posted on Facebook, which says: “You must stand by, because the time of final victory will come”.
