Dutch ambassador visits Burrel

Adelina Farrici is one of the three women that were elected in the May
8th elections, to whom the Burrel citizens trusted their votes for
managing the local administration of this town.

The Dutch ambassador in Albania, Henk van den Dool used his visit in Burrel for supporting Mrs. Farrici and the projects of this municipality, especially those of economic character.

The essence of the visit was the project that is being developed in cooperation with the OSCE, “Women’s role in governing”.

During the meeting at the Municipality Premises, Mrs. Adelina Farrici mentioned the long road that she has pursued as a woman, until becoming Mayor of Burrel.

The Dutch ambassador talked about the priorities of the strategic developments of this municipality, in support of the projects that are being organized by the embassy.

The Dutch diplomat underlined that Adelina’s victory as Mayor is a good national example for including women in governing.

The ambassador Henk van Den Dool also visited the Kindergarten no.3 of the town, which the Dutch embassy reconstructed a few years ago with a fund of 90 million ALL.
