Durres tetra and paraplegics protested in front of the prefecture for
not receiving the monthly invalidity pension, an action that has
affected the life of their families.
The electoral process and the absence of the Municipal Council which approves the lists, has caused delays of invalidity pensions and economic assistance. The head of Tetra and Paraplegic Association is making this appeal on behalf of 300 families.
This social category faces a series of difficulties in their everyday life, due to the limited abilities for working. Many of these people live with payments below survival limits. The lacking of state financial assistance has plunged most of this families in miserable conditions.
