The Court of Durres has released the Manza Civil Registrar employee, who was held by the police over power abuse and forgery.
The Democratic Party branch of Durres reacted right after. They considered the arrest of Gazmir Luku as a clear political act.
Police say that Luku has changed the ID data of Dritan Nazeraj at the electronic database, going against the regulation.
For the Democrats, Luku’s arrest is a clear act of political pressure after he refused to resign as requested by the Mayor of Durres two weeks ago.
The DP leader of Durres, Osman Stafa, said new facts would be brought soon for ballot robbery in the last local elections.
