Dule: Demolition of church, a grave act

17/08/2013 00:00

One day after the Bailiff Office removed the Permet Church from the
Palace of Culture premises, the leader of the United for Human Rights
Party in Gjirokaster, Vangjel Dule, reacted with a press release.

Dule considered what happened as inacceptable and asked an immediate reaction of the state structures. Dule declared that regardless of the Court decisions, the existence of the church in that site is a worldly known fact.

“This is the moment of immediate reaction and returning the object to the church and the devotees. There can be court verdicts of every level, but there are worldly known facts and churches, mosques and tekhes are holy places, and with the holy places you cannot act as they did a few days ago. Their destination is unchangeable”, Dule declared.

The head of the United for Human Rights Party considered what happened in Permet as a violation of the freedom and trust, and returning Albania in 1968, when the communist system stopped religion in our country.
