After seizing 850 kilograms of cannabis at the Durres port, and after
arresting the driver, who appears to be the only transporter, the
Prosecution of Serious Crimes is expanding its field of investigation.
10 Customs Officers were interrogated as suspects for passing the cannabis, declared for Top Channel one member of the investigation group.
During the procedures at the Tirana Customs, these employees have signed every paper as if the truck was OK with everything, while it was mostly filled with drugs and with only a few amount of clothes, as declared at the customs.
The Prosecution of Serious crimes underlines that the employees will be interrogated for the procedures that they have followed, and then they will decide what to do with them.
The Police declared that the truck was going to Italy, while the Prosecution of Serious Crimes added that they are investigating this case.
The driver, Ilir Durmishi, from Tirana, is being held in prison. The Prosecution is investigating for other who can be involved.
