Drug traffic debates in Parliament

“Let’s close this deate by agreeing that Berisha, the adjutant of the Democratic Party, and all the people like “Grida” that have been involved in this ugly show, let’s go to the Prosecution and if you can prove not all of them, but one single accusation, I will not only resign, but I will disappear from this podium and will undergo any punishment. But let’s agree that if all of this is just slander, then you should do the same. Let’s agree that Berisha and Jozefina join with the Health Ministry team, and work as volunteers for one day to disinfect Divjaka from mosquitoes”, declared the Prime Minister Edi Rama.

“You know what you reminded me with this speech? The farewell speech of Enver Hoxha”, Berisha declared.

“Probably because of my age and because I was not a member of the Socialist Party, I don’t remember Hoxha ever giving any farewell speech. If he had ever given that speech, you would have died of a heart attack. Because Hysni Kapo was dying and you remained with Vito. You made the calculations if you ever heard Hoxha to give a farewell speech”, Rama answered.

“You will go, together with Mrika”, Berisha declared.

“Why did you bring your head of the Lazarat commune? Did he come on behalf of the marijuana cultivators? Why have you never found the courage to prove in front of the Prosecution and the Court, any single one of the accusations that you have launched in 20 years. A single one”, Rama declared.

The debates culminated with a request of the Democratic Party for an extraordinary session for the implication of government structures in the drug traffic.

Although the Democratic Party had been prepared that their request wouldn’t be taken in consideration, the majority accepted to leave two hours of discussion to the leaders for this issue. This found the opposition leaders without prepared speeches, but in their spontaneous speeches they all focused on the request for the resignation of Edi Rama.

Rama: Previous government, catastrophe with legalizations
“Citizens have been discriminated and clients favored”

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, focused on the legalization issue by reporting the illegal ones made by the former government.

Rama underlined that those who pour crocodile tears today for the citizens, had left them in the mercy of fate and were legalizing the constructions built by their clients.

“They pretend to be caring about the people’s problems, but they never thought about them. They have legalized building within 24 hours, after the people punished them with the votes of the June 23rd elections”, Rama declared.

“The citizens were waiting for the legalizations for years, but one government officials made it within 24 hours. 800 objects have been legalized within 24 hours from April to September, all connected with different interests”, the government leader declared.

“700 people were waiting to legalize their homes in one area, but no one continued their procedures. In the meanwhile, someone built a 12-store high-rise apartment building and it was legalized overnight”, Rama declared, saying that these actions were taken in the last days before the previous government left their offices.

“Another building was legalized for 6 stores, but it went up to 14, because it was allowed by those who today lead the Tirana Municipality. Before leaving their offices, they legalized 18 objects. This is how thousands of properties have been stolen until 17 September 2013, when we made the oath with the President”, Rama added.
