Drug in Bari, prison arrest for three Customs and two Police officers

The Durres Court has left in prison the three customs officials and two
Durres Port Police agents over power abuse charges, after authorities
seized 1.6 tons of marijuana at the Italian Port of Bari.

Prosecutor Afrim Shehu declared that the narcotics was being trafficked from Durres to Italy, due to the negligence of Redi Demiri, Ilir Shtama, Leonard Gremi and Portual Police Officers Fitim Demollari and Artur Habibi.

Judge Anita Mici verified the security measures for all five citizens and left them in prison until trial.

The Italian authorities also arrested two Albanian drivers of the drug truck, Andrea and Dorjan Lleshi.
