Dritan Hoxha, the founder of the Top Media Group, passed away On May
2008 after a tragic accident. Since then, his family members and
collaborators honor his memory each May 23rd.
Dritan Hoxha founded Top Albania Radio, Top Gold Radio, My Music Radio, Top Channel Television, Shqip Newspaper, the first terrestrial and satellite digital platform Digitalb and the cell phone broadcasting of the DVB-H technology.
Led by him, Digitalb was the first company in Albania that broadcasted on High Definition signal, while Top Channel was the first television that produced HD programs and documentaries.
Dritan Hoxha’s passion was considered by other media owners as the adrenaline of the Albanian media.
By turning his dream to reality, Dritan Hoxha realized enabled the dreams of many other journalists, artists and technicians.
For feeding the dream of the youngest, the foundation that holds his name has given awards for the new journalists in the past two years.
Today there are three streets named after Dritan Hoxha, in different states with Albanian population: Tirana, Prishtina and Tetovo. A honor to his work that realized the unification of the Albanians through the TV broadcastings.
