Dritan Dajti threatens Court

On the 228th session of the Dritan Dajti trial, the defendant has spoken
directly to judges who in the past four years have not been able to
find a lawyer for him and give an end to the process.

After one of Dritan Dajti’s relatives was taken by the police to the courtroom, Dajti threatened judges: “Same as you threatened my family by bringing a relative of mine against his will, I will do the same with you and your relatives”.

Judge Idriz Mulkurti tried to remind the defendants that the court has nothing personal with him and that his relative wasn’t forced. But the defendant continued: “I have it personal with you now. I know the laws. Don’t forget that you are talking with Dritan Dajti”, he declared.

Dajti kept reminding to judges that for the last two years they have conducted a closed trial, so that the public cannot know the truth about 2009. He told the judges: “After the elections, I will open the Pandora box”.

Judge Mulkurti tried several times to remind the defendant that he was going outside the object of the case, but Dajti asked him, by reminding the Durres massacre, where four police agents were killed. “You should better ask who killed Saimir Duckollarin. Why his father killed himself.

To the question if he was going to defend himself, Djait replied negatively, reminding the Procedure Code. “I want to be represented by a lawyer, and since you haven’t found one, I want to leave the room”, Dajti declared.

After this situation created at the Court of Serious Crimes, a Top Channel source declared that they will urgently demand increased measures for guarding the judge panel members and their families.
