DP’s Berisha accuses PM Rama of supporting Serbia, SP’s Braçe: Kosova should have made you ‘non grata’ as well

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha continued today with accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama in Parliament, regarding the tense situation in the north of Kosovo.

In his speech at the plenary session, Berisha said that Rama, by presenting the draft for the “Association of Serbian Municipalities”, intervened in the internal affairs of Kosovo to save himself from the investigation of the Mc Gonigal file.

“In the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Albania takes the side of Kosovo, but Rama takes the side of Vucic. After the failure of the ‘Open Balkans’, Rama and Vucic wanted to install Serbian hegemony in the region. The presentation he made with the ‘association’ project was Rama’s most brutal intervention in the most delicate issue in Kosovo’s internal affairs.”

“An anti-national, anti-Albanian act. As a proper vassal Rama canceled the government meeting with Kosovo because Pristina refused to discuss his draft, taken from Vucic’s drawers. It provoked and further worsened the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade. He did it because July is coming and he is under open investigation for the Mc Gonigal affair,” said Berisha.

SP’s Erion Braçe, responded to this statement in harsh tones, saying that Berisha was the one who broke the oil embargo by supplying Milosevic’s Serbia during the war. Brace said that if there is a country that should declare Berisha ‘non grata’, it is only Kosovo.

“This is the one in whose name shameful confessions have been made, such as the breaking the embargo during the war in Kosovo with the argument that we were bringing fuel to Kosovo to survive for the winter. The fuel was instead going to Milosevic. The fact is that the USA has declared Berisha ‘non grata’ for a multitude of well-known and publicized reasons. But if there was a country that had to declare Berisha ‘non grata’ it should be Kosovo and only for this act, for breaking the embargo against Milosevic’s Serbia”, Braçe said, among other things.
