A video about the infamous year 1997, was used by the Democratic Party
not only to prove their claims about a replacement of professional
police leaders with Socialist Party militants, but also to show that
they are being replaced by members of former criminal gangs, according
to the Democratic Party.
“The man you see in the video is Ardian Lici, a man who was ordered by Zan Caushi to check cars at the Mifoli Bridge. He was one of his soldier, and was assessed today by the Interior Minister and Police leaders as a specialist for fighting the drug traffic”, declared the Democratic Party Parliament Member, Edi Paloka.
For the Democratic Party, this appointment at the state police is one of the biggest scandals of the Rama government. They claim that the Socialist Party have rewarded that man twice. The first was by making him part of the police in 1997 and then being obliged to discharge him, after a serious event in 2003.
“The bullets of his gun were found in a crime scene. Now, with Edi Rama, the solider of Zani is revived. And he was revived in the Vlore anti-drug police”, Paloka declared.
According to the opposition, the inclusion of these people among the police is the real reason why the drug traffic has increased in the recent months.
“Edi Rama and Saimir Tahiri have trusted the fight against drugs to the soldiers of Zan Caushi. This is the real revival in the police, with Saimir Tahiri and Edi Rama”, Paloka declared.
