The Democratic Party reacted through Enkelejd Alibeaj after Fatmir Xhafaj’s declaration, who accused the opposition of using blackmail for criminal interests of the rotten justice system.
Alibeaj drew parallel lines between Xhafaj and Tahiri, saying that he is playing the victim the same way Saimir Tahiri did. “He insinuated that his imprisonment would mean taking Rama with him”, he said.
However, the opposition also admits that these cases are not equal.
“Maybe Fatmir Xhafaj doesn’t have a case as rich as Tahiri’s for Edi Rama’s, but same as Tahiri, he warned Rama that his firing would mean that the government would fall”, the Democratic Party MP declared.
Alibeaj interprets Xhafaj’s sentence that “the DP is ready to cooperate with the devil just to bring down this government” as a threat to Edi Rama.
“For this threat to Rama, the Interior Minister accused the opposition of cooperating with the devil”, he added.
Alibeaj said that the audio recording published by the opposition proves that Agron Xhafaj operated in the international drug traffic and that Fatmir Xhafaj knows that is authentic.
The DP claims that Agron Xhafaj didn’t go to Italy on his own will, but he was sent there. Alibeaj gives reasons about this.
“This is the reason why he was sent to Italy without a giving his message through video and audio for the Albanian public. He was sent before the audio-recording is tested by unidentified labs”, Alibeajd declared.
