The Vetting Law is not the only one that the DP is challenging from th
Justice Reform. The law for the justice institutions which foresees the
establishing of the High Council of Prosecution and High Council of
Justice, is considered by democrats as a flagrant violation of the
Constitution.

Top Channel communicated with the vice chairman of the Justice Reform Commission, the Oerd Bylykbashi from the Democratic Party, who said that the amendments were voted unilaterally on November 3rd, and they simply deepen the anti-constitutionality of the law which decides how the justice institutions will be established.

Oerd Bylykbashi says the new “ad hoc” commission that will filter the candidacies before they are sent to Parliament for review, same to the former Council of Justice Appointments.

Oerd Bylykbashi said that the “ad hoc” commission is a structure that is not foreseen by the Constitution and that has been created to impose the Parliament of Albania the will of only some specific people, controlled by the government. This is the reason why, according to the democrats, the violation of the constitution is flagrant and forces the opposition to file a complaint at the Constitutional Court.
