The Democratic Party has reported several times that there is an arrest order for the Prosecution of Serious Crimes for arresting police officers involved with the drug traffic.
The confirmation of these accusations gave Lulzim Basha arguments to ask Prime Minister Rama to resign.
“Fight against crime, starting from decriminalization and a total cleansing of the government, police and all state structures from criminals and criminalized individuals, comes today as the main national priority. The first step is taking Edi Rama off the driving wheel of our country. He is proving each day that he is the main obstacle to justice and Albania’s fight against crime. His only purpose today is to keep power at any cost”, Basha said.
“Rama will not appoint the new Prosecution General. He is attacking the current Prosecutors because they demanded Tahiri’s arrest. After this, he cannot appoint the new Prosecution General. That would mean that Tahiri would not be brought to justice and that the criminal cupola of crimes will have a free hand with crime. We will not allow Edi Rama to appoint the Prosecutor General”, the DP leader declared.
