DP: Turn cars off, reject fuel price

For the opposition, taxes are the reason why the oil price is high. They insist on the government to reduce it.

The opposition appeals drivers to turn cars off for five minutes this Monday at 11:00, in sign of protest against the government.

“The increased circulation tax is the reason why the fuel price has not dropped. The increased circulation tax was a clear strategy of the government to fill the budget case by suffocating consumers. Albanians pay 112 million USD more, after this tax increase. The DP appeals the government once again to take measures and repeal the increased circulation tax and end their destructive effect in our economy. The Democratic Party will lead the civil action against this government that is impoverishing the citizens by making their clients richer. The first action takes place next Monday, in protest against the highest oil price in Europe as compared to the revenues, just because the government decided so”, declared the Democratic Party MP, Florian Mima.
