The members of the Democratic Party agree with the President, who hasn’t decreed more than half of the new cabinet members proposed by the Prime Minister.

“The President should not decree any of the new Ministers. This is an outgoing government, without physiognomy, marking the end of the revival chapter”, said Tritan Shehu, the former Foreign Minister under the Democratic Party’s government.

He added that President Meta is playing the role granted him by the Constitution and that the refusal was due to the new candidate for Foreign Minister.

“I am not among those who may have asked for Bushati’s dismissal. But the candidacy brought by Rama for the next Foreign Minister doesn’t fulfil the criteria and creates uncertainties with the Foreign Policy”, Shehu declared.

The Democrats are indifferent to the fact that Rama’s cabinet is taking the shape of a technical government, as long as the Prime Minister is political.

The President has started a verification process for five Ministers, including the Foreign. On January 12th is the deadline that the Constitution has granted the President before he takes a decision.
