The current leaders and Parliament Members of the Democratic Party with
two terms have been excluded from the position of coordinators in
Tirana. The same principle was followed in the rest of the country.

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, presented his instructions to the 11 local unit leaders for the Municipality of Tirana, in which they will start the process of taking new members, the same process that has ended in the rest of the country.

This instructions has also the application for new memberships.

The instruction of Mayor Basha says that they need to identify the persons who have voted for the Democratic Party in the last elections. After that, they will be invited for membership.

The instruction also adds that they aim to bring more young people as members.

But the most curious fact are the names of the coordinators, with former Parliament Members such as Jemin Gjana and Tritan Shehu. There are also other names introduced lately in the Democratic Party, such as Grida Duma. Most of the coordinators used to be directors of agencies and important directories, such as Ivi Kaso, Gazmend Spahia, Eneida Guria, Genti Minarolli, etc.

Some of these names caused debates inside of the Democratic Party, because they haven’t contributed as much in the past. There will be 60 contributors in total for Tirana.
