The Democratic Party MP, Luciano Boci, asked the government about
connections of their officials with the criminal group, while the
Socialists declared that their activity had started ruding the Berisha
government.
“Have the members of this criminal gang funded the Socialist Party? Have the leaders of this gang any connection with the ruling party? Have they sponsored their stances, such as in Brussels? Are the leaders of this gang cousins of a former Socialist MP, today a Minister in the Rama government? The lack of transparency and of answers brands them as responsible for turning Albania into a Columbia of drugs, with criminals who have ties with the government”, Boci declared.
The Socialist Party reacted throgh MP Besnik Bare, who asked why this lab had not been seized during the Berisha government.
“How is it possible that the DP could not seize a lab that was clearly producing drug? It is normal having debates with the opposition, but it is not normal having the opposition attacking the police for the organized crime, which should not be politicized”, Bare declared.
