The parliamentary groups of the Democratic Party and Socialist Movement for Integration held a joint meeting today, focusing on asking the opening of Albania’s EU accession negotiations.

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that Albania is far from completing the five priorities, but the negotiations must be opened to help Albanians leave this dangerous crossroad.

“Fortunately, were met today for the same topic, the major national matter and the number one concern for the opposition, the conditions that are not being met. Allow me to reconfirm on behalf of the Democratic Party, the opposition’s coalition, our clear stance that we have always communicated to the European institutions, for which we are lobbying with our sister praties. We want the opening of the accession negotiations. We have been asking and we keep asking our friends to open the accession negotiations. It is an act that will help Albanians leave the dangerous crossroad we are today”, Basha declared.
