DP: Rama to stop pressures

The Democratic Party in power asked the opposition leader to recognize the results and to not pressure independent institutions.

“The Democratic Party declared beforehand that it would recognize any final result of this process and that would respect it. We know that it is impossible for Edi Rama to accept a result when he is declared loser, but the result is what it is. In 2009, ODIHR criticized Rama for “propaganda” with the purpose of securing a result in his favor, out of the legal framework”, declared DP Spokesperson, Albana Mustafaraj.

“Regardless of what Edi Rama might say, citizens know that it is not the Court that decides for these elections, but the citizens. We ask Mr. Rama to give up to any kind of pressure against independent institutions. While the process is still underway, all parties must accept the result that comes from the citizens’ voice”, she added.
