After the Prime Minister’s declaration to invite a foreign company to
help his government for the tax office and customs, the Democratic Party
accused Rama of deciding an advising company against the law, because
they need to hold a tender first.
“Rama says that he will invite a foreign company to help him with the taxes and customs, but a help that is paid is not help, but a purchased service. Rama told the Albanian people that he has already found the company, which is Crown Agents. But the worst part is that Rama will make a direct procurement with this spending, and not an international open tender. This is a flagrant violation of the procurement laws. The Berisha government made direct procurement disappear to save billions of dollars to the Albanian state, that used to go in the pockets of the Socialist officials. Rama wants to violate the law and return the direct procurement. He boasted in Parliament that he has a big majority and with the arrogance of this majority he is trying to demolish the law and every good practice installed so far with the help of the European Union, the UN and other itnernational partners. This is a bad news for the Albanian people, because he is showing that with his vision he will ruin the rule of law, just to realize the painting that he has in his mind for the state of Albania”, declared the Democratic Party Parliament Member, Oerd Bylykbashi.
