The opposition accused the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, of
traveling to China with a private jet. According to the DP Parliamentary
Group leader, Edi Paloka, this is either an abuse with the taxes of the
Albanian citizens, or a gift from a client that will be returned back
with public funds.
“Edi Rama is involved in a corruptive scandal by traveling to China with a private jet. This expensive flight is an abuse with the public funds, if it has been paid by the government’s taxes.
And it is a clear bribe if it has been offered by someone else who might want concessions in exchange of the gift. This is a financial abuse and clear corruption.
His showing off as a baron, and the luxury flight, have nothing in common with the needs of our citizens.
For this reason, he will always be under the careful judgment of the sovereign, in front of whom they will answer”, Paloka declared.
The Prime Minister’s Press Office reacted by saying that the flight to China was made possible by the Chinese embassy in Tirana.
“The Prime Minister’s flight to China didn’t cost a dime to the Albanian citizens”, the press release says.
