The DP leader, Lulzim Basha, visited the arrested protesters at the
Tirana Police and accused Prime Minister Rama of using the police for
his criminal purposes, by going against the Constitution.

“We proved that the regime of Edi Rama is illegal and against the constitution. The DP and the citizens proved that they are on the side of the Constitutional and the law”, Basha said.

Basha said that the government is going against the basic rights of citizens by using bare violence against the people.

“I asked the Prosecution to bring those responsible to justice”, Basha added, after meeting Prosecutors Shpetim Kurti and Adnan Xholi.

Tirana Police officers have arrested the DP representative at the Tirana Municipal Unit 5, Ndricim Babasi. The news was reported by the DP leader, Lulzim Basha. It appears that the reason of the arrest is related to the opposition’s protest at the Tirana Artificial Lake Park.

The Head of the Democratic Parliamentary Group, Edi Paloka, reported the lack of information by the Tirana Police. He accuses them of implementing arbitrary orders and of losing the citizens’ trust.

Democratic MP, Arben Ristani, had accused the police earlier of using force against politicians and civil society representatives due to the protest.
