Today’s Parliamentary Group meeting of the Democratic Party has started
with one minute of silence in honor of their colleague, Sokol Olldashi,
who passed away last week in a car accident.
Basha thanked everyone who expressed their solidarity with the tragic death, underlining that the Democratic Party has received thousands of message from several people in Albania and abroad.
“Thousands of condolence messages have come these days for me as a leader an the citizens. There were messages from Kosovo, Macedonia, sister parties, representatives of our friendly countries, etc. Everyone joins in our sorrow. I thank each one of them”, Basha declared.
Basha then added that the Democratic Party is determined to push forward the platform that Sokol Olldashi also supported, according to him, for a strong opposition in front of an arbitrary government.
