A day after the health minister unveiled a strategy to tackle the pandemic in the fall and winter seasons, including a free flu vaccination campaign, opposition experts said the strategy presented by the health minister was a belated and incomplete step.

They stated that the main points of the government plan have been initroduced by the leader of the opposition, Lulzim Basha since July 26th, when he free vaccination.

“The government must urgently take action and provide a free flu vaccine to the entire population in the fall. This would protect Albanians from the influenca of the season and its complications, and would help our health system to prepare to face the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The leader of the opposition, Lulzim Basha, stated months ago that the plan for reopening and quarantining must ensure that at least 2,000 tests are performed per day.

Currently, the number of tests is 400-500 per day, far from the opposition’s demand for testing, tracking and timely treatment of the dangerous disease.
