The Democratic Party said that one month after the accusations, the
Minister of Interior is still holding is post. They asked him to resign.
“Saimir Tahiri was mentioned by the Italian press for having his vehicles involved in a drug traffic. This scandal has become international. We don’t know how proud is Prime Minister Edi Rama after this. But we know that Minister Tahiri has been accused for the past one month, and he is still holding his duty. The Italian anti-mafia has raised alarms about the drug quantity that goes from Albania to Italy. Minister Tahiri must leave his duty”, Neibaj declared.
