DP: “MP Rakipi must be stripped of immunity”. PJIU: “DP preys on accidents for opposition”

After MP Aqif Rakipi of the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity,
Aqif Rakipi, was found not guilty about the fatal accident he was
involved in, the Democratic Party declared today that article 273 of the
criminal code, dictates that Rakipi should be responsible for
abandoning the scene after an accident. This crime, according to DP, is
punished with one year of prison.

“Leaving the accident scene is not only a coward act, but also a crime. However, Edi Rama’s friend profits from the fact that the Prime Minister prefers to stay closer to crimes than to citizens. Rakipi is also known as a key mediator of Edi Rama with traffickers”, DP says.

The DP appeals the Prosecutor General and Parliament Speaker to start procedures for removing Rakipi’s immunity, so that there can be justice for the victim.

PJIU responds by considering the reaction of the Democratic Party as very pathetic. PJIU says they are playing as vultures who use tragic accidents as the most absurd way to make opposition, when the DP still is part of this government with seven ministers.

PJIU appeals the DP to not be influenced by the political pressure of the DP.
