The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, met with the head of the Prishtina Commune, Mayor Shpend Ahmeti.
Ahmeti updated Basha with the general political situation in Kosovo, the challenges and causes of the opposition, and the achievements in the Prishtina Commune, while Basha expressed his pleasure for the meeting and said that there should be essential dialogue between the political factors in Albania and Kosovo.
“There are many mutual issues that we need to discuss as two parties in opposition. Matters related to the citizens’ interest, but also for the national aspect, such as the integration of both countries in the Euro-Atlantic integration”, Basha said.
After the meeting they both held a press release. Ahmeti said they exchanged their opinions about the current situations in both countries, in both Parliaments, and that Mr.Basha showed his interest about the reforms in Prishtina.
Basha thanked the Mayor of Prishtina for updating him about the work that is being done for the citizens of Prishtina, and he wished him success in executing the further projects. Basha said the purpose of his visit is to keep a significant dialogue with all political factors in Kosovo, and mentioned that there are various aspects that unite both countries as regards the progress with the European path.
