The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, joined the citizens who are protesting against the construction of a road segment in Tirana.

They protest the government’s decision to not compensate them for the illegal buildings, homes and businesses that they have ran for the past years on squatted land.

Basha declared that this government project is based on corruptive contracts, protected by the corrupted Prosecution that, according to Basha, is commanded by Edi Rama.

“They are here to steal 30 million EUR from the money of the Albanian people. They are kicking these residents out of their homes. But we will not abandon those who were abandoned by the government. This project  is not for the development of Tirana, but to fill their pockets”, Basha declared.
