The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the message of the
US Ambassador for youth is the right one, and they should be more
demanding to the government.
“The ambassador is right with his message for youth. You live in democracy. You should demand, and if the government doesn’t respond, you should bring it down. This is how democracy works. In democracy, you are responsible for power”, Basha quoted the Ambassador.
As for the question about what should Albanians do when the government refuses to pay their school books from the budget, Basha said that it is very simple.
“For the first half of the country, the government spent 2 million USD for travel tickets; 14 million for rebuilding offices. This money is enough for the books of all Albanian children”, Basha declared.
He underlined that the Democratic Party will deposit a proposition for funding school books for all children of Albania.
