The Democratic Party asked the Prosecution to start investigating the
claims of Gjergji Thimoio, who said that the Albanian Prime Minister,
Edi Rama, and the Socialist Party Parliament Member, Koco Kokedhima,
tried to take from him a 1 million EUR painting.
The Spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Laura Vorpsi, underlined that “these accusations against Rama become even more credible when he has other reports of this kind in the past, and when it is known that the Prime Minister needed to find a valuable gift for this adviser, Tony Blair”
“The declarations of Gjergji Thimio are shocking. Based on that declaration, Edi Rama and Koco Kokedhima have iorganized his arrest because he refused to give them a 1 million EUR painting made by Onufri. Thimio says that Kokedhima has threatened to take his valuable painting through another method. The accusations are very severe. The Prosecution must reiew this declaration and shed light on the affair of Rama and Kokedhima with the artworks. these accusations against Rama become even more credible when he has other reports of this kind in the past, and when it is known that the Prime Minister needed to find a valuable gift for this adviser, Tony Blair. Thimio has also accused that behind the media-show operation about the seizing of the works, thousands of other objects had been taken from Rama, Kokedhima and Lame. The Democratic Party asks the Prosecution to start investigating this declaration”, Vorpsi declared.
