The Central Election Commission completed the recount in the Lezhe District, the most problematic one in these elections.
10 ballot boxes were counted in this institution, after the Democratic Party requested a reevaluation of the result. The recount showed that the result had been manipulated by the counting groups.
The first result was with 39 votes for the Democratic Party, and now the distance went deeper with 306 votes in favor of the right coalition.
On the other hand, the Socialist Party claims invalidity of 6 voting centers in Lezhe, the electoral materials of which were open by the Central Election Commission. This is about four ballot boxes in Lac, in the polling station where the firearm incident left one Socialist Movement for Integration supporter dead, and made the left coalition commissioners leave their duty for several hours.
The left representatives say that electors have been intimidated during these hours, and asked to call the election in this area invalid. The Socialist Party made the same request for two other polling stations where there are more votes than voters. In Mamurras, according to the Socialist Party, there’s a record breaking participation of 90.2%, but several names belong to emigrants who have not been in Albania during this time, as SP verified through the TIM system.
The Socialist Party also says that more than 100 votes have been cast by the same person, because the signature is the same. The Central Election Commission will decide today if they will take in consideration the requests made by the Socialist Party.
