The Democratic Party presented this Saturday in Vlore their health
platform, in an event which had doctors, specialists and representatives
of the civil society.
The Head of the Health Department at the Democratic Party, Tritan Shehu, said that the country is facing a health system today which doesn’t respect the citizens’ rights for a modern service, and does not defend the dignity of the personnel.
“Even the health deposits of citizens at the Insurance Fund are “seized” by the government to fill its deficit, rather than investing this 25 million USD for improving the system”, Shehu said.
He underlined that the service that offers the DP doesn’t schedule, but directly funds the personnel qualification in order to increase it scientifically and help distributing the new services.
“A characteristic of our system, is ‘free for poverty’, centralization of the state, fighting bad management and fighting the lack of developing vision”, Shehu underlined.
He added that the Democratic Party will focus on patients because they consider the role and values of the staff as vital. “We can give our society and colleagues what is a basic need, health and dignity for everyone”, Shehu said.
