The Democratic Party have asked the Prosecution to investigate the picture taken by PM Edi Rama with the US President, Barack Obama, in 2012.
A US citizen who made the payment on behalf of Edi Rama, for this picture, has been arrested and sentenced to several months in prison.
The DP says that Edi Rama has consumed at least three criminal actions for this picture. For this reason, they have nine questions for the Prosecution.
1 Where did Edi Rama find 80.000 USD when his wealth declaration is lower than that in 2012.
2 Is this money obtained from corruption or from illegal and undeclared sources?
3 What is the source of this money?
4 What did the persons who offer this money take in exchange?
5 What did PM Edi Rama earn through this action?
6 Why hasn’t this sum been declared as spending?
7 Did Edi Rama declared the 80.000 USD in his wealth declaration audit in 2011, when he was Mayor of Tirana, and did he pay taxes about that?
8 Was this money offered by citizen Edi Rama, and is it legally justified?
9 If the 80.000 USD have not been declared, is this a product of a criminal act committed by Edi Rama or the person who funded it?
