The Democratic Party MP, Eduard Halimi, declared that the Constitutional
Court is delaying the verdict for the mandate of Koco Kokedhima, caught
with 150 law violations by profiting public funds with his business.
According to Halimi, “although the request of the Democratic Party was made in the past year, the Court has taken it only in November 2015, and has not published the explanatory arguments that finds Rama’s decision to hide facts from justice in favor of MP Kokedhima”.
Halimi says that the Parliament is protecting the millions of Kokedhima to defend the 150 financial transfers that he had profited by violating the Constitution.
“The Constitutional Court declared that this stance of the Parliament is against the Constitution. They asked them to send this MP to justice for profiting public fund, after a request made by the Democratic Party. But under the pressure of Rama, the decision has not been made effective yet”, Halimi declared.
“We ask the Constitutional Court to publish the decision, since this is about state corruption. This is an increasing phenomenon, that’s why it is of great public importance. The Kokedhima case makes way for ending to other mandates that were found with Constitutional violations, that of Mrs. Leskaj and Rakip Suli, since their family members have profited millions from public funds”, Halimi said.
Halimi added that Rama is hiding them from justice, and this shows the way how his government works, full of abuses, violations, and hiding from justice.
