DP: Government’s policies threaten economy

The Democratic Party came out with conclusions that are different from
that of the government. The economic analyze of the opposition says that
during these 300 days, the economic growth has been threatened due to
the policies of the government for increasing debt and taxes, due to the
uncertainty for local and foreign businesses, which also brought
unemployment, dropped levels of consumption and production.

The opposition shares the same opinion with Prime Minister Berisha that the international financial organisms should react differently with the government.

Ridvan Bode, former Minister of Finances: The government is saying each day that the 200-300 million EUR that are being loaned from the IMF and the World Bank are very important for the stability, while balances are being damaged and there is no sign so far that they are important for funding the economic growth.

Sali Berisha, former Prime Minister: The intervention of the IMF was important, but these institutions might turn into allies of the most cleptocratic regime of Europe. I appeal them to review their stance. There is no indicator showing that the economy is getting better. Every indicator shows that the economy is getting worse.

Lulzim Basha, DP leader: The indicators of the government for the spending and revenues show what destructive policy the government has followed in these 300 days. The drop is 3.8 billion ALL, compared ot 2013, and it will be worse in the next two years.

Business representatives from Confindustria and the Chamber of Commerce asked the opposition to raise its voice in the Parliament. The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared that the opposition will keep staying outside the Parliament for as long that the Prime Minister plans malicious scenarios against the opposition.

“An instrument of violence against the opposition has been established in Parliament, with a violent infrastructure made of people who have dealt with drug traffic, prostitution, kidnapping and even murder. I think that the opposition has done the most responsible thing to avoid blood sheds. We have taken a responsible step by stopping any relation with a shelter of crime. We expect everyone to reflect. The Albanian people are getting aware of this”, declared the DP leader, Lulzim Basha.

The superscandal of the theft at the Bank of Albania was mentioned only once by Confindustria, while the highest opposition leaders have not reacted yet about this event that has damaged the safety of the entire financial system.
