DP former General Secretary charged with falsification of documents and money laundering

The former General Secretary of the Democratic Party, Arben Ristani, declared that the charges raised against him are politically motivated.

“I didn’t come here voluntarily. I was asked to. The Prosecution has started a procedure that is politically motivated”, he said.

The former Democratic Party MP underlined that there is no document or evidence that can confirm his involvement.

The case was opened two years ago, when the US lobbying firm, Muzin Capitol Parnters, declared that they had received three payments from the Democratic Party, up to a total of 675.000 USD. But the Democratic Party has declared only one payment, 25.000 USD. The two others remain unclear.
