The Democratic Party has handed over this Monday an urgent
interpellation request with the Prime Minister regarding the action of
the police against the protesting students who had started a hunger
strike.

Considering this a flagrant breach of the basic human rights, the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party asked the Parliament Speaker to include in their Thursday session an urgent interpellation with the Prime Minister.

“The MPs of the opposition are really concerned about this fact, and about the repeated violations of human rights through police violence”, the opposition says.

The Democratic Party says that it is a duty of the Prime Minister of an EU candidate country to analyze these shocking facts and hold a public stance on the work done by the state police.
