DP: “Civil action for gas price. Government’s responsible”

The Democratic Party will not stop to only declarations for their recent
concern, which is that te Albanian people pay a higher energy price
than other countries in the region.
The opposition says that the real reason for this is because the government has increased taxes, and Albanians cannot benefit from the drastic drop of fuel price in the world market.
“10 ALL for 100 ALL of every citizen is used for fuel. Different from any other country of the region, the current government is responsible for 60% of the price that has not dropped under the limits of what is normal. This is what the government takes from any of us for one liter of gas. The Democratic Party will continue to report this fact and will undertake a civil action for pressuring the government to review the tax increase and reduce the fuel price”, declared the Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku.
The Democratic Party didn’t give any public detail, but Top Channel learned that the action means supporting the civil society that requests a lower fuel price, and proposing legal measures in Parliament for reducing taxes.
